Beth & Joe: Engagement in Long Beach

Ok, I think I’ll just start by coming right out and saying it.  I have the best clients ever!  When I first met Beth, I knew we were soul sisters.  She’s also from the Midwest, a huge foodie, gorgeous (both inside and out), and loves helping people.  Beth met her handsome fiance years ago, and it was an instant match.  Together, they’re currently planning an intimate wedding for this Fall at Coquelicot Estate Vineyard in Los Olivos, for their closest friends and family.

For their engagement session, we chose to create images that were very personal.  We included some of their favorite things, such as their new home in Long Beach, wine, laughs, and the beach!  I was totally in awe with the great location and beautiful light.  My favorite moment during the session was when Joe scouted out a HUGE sand pile stacked along the shore.  He was super adventurous and determined to get to the beach.  🙂

Congrats to you both!  xoxo

Peabe & Jam’s Destination Wedding in Chicago

I’ve known Jamie for 10+ years.  We met in high school and she’s always been one of the most creative people I’ve known.  She met her match, Peabe in Chicago.  Their story is filled with love, lots of travel, an epic proposal in Hawaii including THIS Elvis compilation, and now a beautiful daughter.  Peabe and Jamie decided to have a wedding in their hometown on the first day of summer.  It was such an honor and a privilege to document their day.  My favorite detail was all of the handmade bouquets and flower details Jamie made by hand over the past year!   My favorite moment was when it started dumping rain half way during the ceremony.  You can just see how much joy these two have for life and love for each other.  They had huge smiles on their faces all day long.  A big congratulations to you both!  Guests of the wedding can access all of the images from the wedding online HERE.

Kaori & David: Long Beach Museum of Art Wedding

Kaori and David celebrated a beautiful summer wedding at the Long Beach Museum of Art last weekend.  The Long Beach  Museum of Art is one of my favorite spots for a wedding with the intimate setting, great view of the ocean, and rotating exhibits.  They are currently exhibiting “Architecture for Dogs,” with a lot of cool doghouses and dog themed paintings.  One of my favorite images from the day was the expressions on David and Kaori’s face during the ceremony.   There was a Despicable Me 2 blimp floating around and they happened to look up and have a priceless look on their faces.  These two are so easy going and such a great couple to work with.    It was such a pleasure to be a part of their day!  Here’s a review of my favorite images.
